Our Story
A welcoming spirit

The typical Parisian building, with its original moldings and woodwork, was designed by the French architect Adolphe Deville. Back then, the heart of Paris beats in these bustling streets and brasseries of boulevard Saint-Germain. Poets, writers and artists enjoyed exchanging thoughts and ideas with La Sorbonne’s students at the Café de Flore.

During nearly a century, Paris stands as the « Arts Capital » and has always been and remains a most sought after destination for any traveler.

It is in this spirit of hospitality that a family of great Parisian restaurateurs acquired a building, located at 61, street Bonaparte and starts running this hotel in the early 1930’s. Artist and writer such as Henri Miller stayed made this place their Parisian home, while some others find this place a shelter.

It is in their turn Marcelle, then Michelle, barely 18 years old and finally her son Olivier who will continue the family adventure, in the continuity and the respect of its values: simplicity, conviviality and sharing
